Begin with batch size
The included container matters more than a long list of optional jars. Think about your usual number of servings and whether you blend thick mixtures, liquids or both. Check the maker's minimum and maximum fill guidance for the exact jar.
Decide how much control you want
Variable speed and pulse let you manage texture directly. Preset programs can make repeated recipes simpler, but their names do not prove better results for your ingredients. Compare the actual programs and controls on the model you would buy.
Count the accessories and cleaning work
A personal jar, food processor or tamper may be included, optional or incompatible. Read the box contents and compatibility list. A self-cleaning cycle still does not replace the maker's care instructions for the lid, blade area and jar.
Read claims as claims
These comparisons use manufacturer specifications rather than our own blending tests. Check current availability, warranty and return terms at the source, and use independent testing if texture or noise is decisive for you.
